What two things do we all have in common as network marketers? We all need more prospects for our businesses, and we all need to generate more up front revenue to fund our marketing. The good news is that there are a number of completely free marketing techniques available to you in order to help generate those prospects you so desperately need.
That being said, here is something to keep in mind: there is usually a trade-off involved when selecting marketing techniques. If a strategy is inexpensive or even free, you will probably need to invest extra time to make it effective.
How Can You Find Free MLM Leads?
Article Marketing
You can write, right? Article marketing can be a very valuable, long-term, free marketing strategy for your network marketing or MLM business. There are a number of imperative things to think about with this strategy...
Successful article marketing takes more than just putting up an article on a random topic and hoping for the best. Be sure you have answers to the questions above to make sure you are getting the most out of the time you exhaust writing.
Video Marketing
This can be SUCH a powerful and efficient way to market, but again, only if you know what you are doing. Most people think video marketing is making a few videos and putting them up on YouTube. If this is all you are doing, you are plainly not getting enough out of your video making labors - and you are leaving a LOT of cash on the table!
Forum Marketing
Online forums are a very good place to develop prospects from one of the best niches possible - other network marketers. That being said, the absolute last thing you want to do on a forum is start pitching your business - no one wants to hear it and it won't get you anywhere fast.
If you are going to utilize this marketing strategy, it is necessary that you keep two or three things in mind:
Social Media Marketing
Social media is HUGE. Sites like Twitter and Facebook (and several others) can offer substantial leads for your online business, if you go about it the appropriate way. Just like forums, don't make it a habit of pitching everyone you meet on your business. Create relationships!
Think of it this way. When you met someone for the very first time face to face, would you say "Hey, do you want to join my business opportunity?" Naturally not. (I hope not, anyway;))
So, why do people do that on social media sites? Meet people, build relationships with them and again, provide value. The people you meet will gradually learn to trust and respect you. From there their own natural curiosity will turn them into leads for your business, by trying to find information and links you've offered. Make sure those links aren't pointing at generic sites though, remember it's YOU these people are interested in following!
These four techniques ought to be enough to get you started! Just bear in mind these important points:
1. These aren't overnight strategies. Be patient. Be consistent.
2. Attempting to master multiple marketing techniques at the same time can be stressful and exhausting, so get good at one method at a time, implementing the others gradually as you develop each skill.
If you try to tackle them all at once, it will be overwhelming. Things will go much more smoothly if you tackle one strategy at a time and gradually increase your marketing arsenal.

I know it sounds scary but blogs are not that difficult if you take a little time to learn a few things. Remember, if it is free, you will have to put in some time and effort.

Articles always have been and always will be a source for free leads because people want valuable content and if you will spend some time writing and submitting articles based on good keyword research, you will get some quality leads. The secret is to turn out 4-5 articles daily. Do this for 60-90 days and you will get many leads.
Video Marketing
People want to watch videos. YouTube is the third largest search engine on the internet and so if you will produce videos on a daily basis and submit them, you will get some traffic. I promise you that every video you make will get at least a couple of views. No matter how terrible the video is.
Drop Cards
This is an off-line advertising method to get network marketing free leads but it is highly effective. You can purchase drop cards in the form of a $100 bill and then get a cheap rubber stamp and put a short message on the backside. Make sure your website URL is on the card and then drop them off everywhere you go. People will see the $100 bill and think it is real. They can't help but pick it up. When they do, they will then look at the backside and see your message.
Post It Notes
These are what I call the "Bum Marketer's" method of advertising. Bathrooms can be the biggest generator of network marketing free leads as you can stick a post it note with your stamped advertisement above the urinals, the mirrors, anywhere. Imagine placing post it notes on car windows when you go to the mall. The places where you can put these are endless.
